I miss you Dad

I think I always will

I know you suffered your entire life

I know because I was with you and I saw

I never told you how much I love you while you were here

For that I feel ashamed

If it’s possible I want you to know I love you

You feel so far away

I forgive you for all of the times you were not around

I forgive you for all of the mental and physical abuse caused by alcohol

I wish I had just one more day with you

I see parts of you come through as I get older in years

I used to hate that but now I see your good side shine.
